Monster Fest Rating: Wishmaster 4/ The Prophecy Fulfilled

Monster Fest Rating: Wishmaster 4/The Prophecy Fullfilled

The Djinn’s back for a fourth time, and acquires the long awaited third wish but he falls in love with the main character instead of doing his job to add on more film time.

You can tell they had no idea where to go so instead of the Prophecy being fulfilled try declined.

I could say this movie was more insulting than Wishmaster 3 but at least this one has a Rating for  trying to build something but then gives it up after 40 minutes.

Btw you could make a drinking game out of how many times everyone says “sex” in the film, and pay attention as the Djinn seeks out love advice for the next two acts of the movie.

It could have been done in a clever way but…not if you’re lazy.

This film isn’t worth any more of my efforts.

1 Bloody Knuckle.

Monster Fest Rating: I Still Know What You Did Last Summer

Monster Fest Rating: I still know what you did last summer.

Four bloody knuckles!! This film continues from its predecessor just right!

The Fisherman is back and he’s got a hook to pick with Julie James again played by Jennifer Love Hewitt.

This time he manages to trick her and her college friends to an island getaway during a hostile hurricane season however Julie and her friends seem to have their defenses at the ready. With little to no communication, no ships sailing, and the body count rising…this could be one vacation Julie will never come back from.

No matter how ready they are, The Fisherman always seems to be two steps ahead of them…could someone be helping him?

I won’t reveal much again, but I will say this film is smart, epic and easily worth the rating. It’s just as good as the first one.

Jennifer Love Hewitt is still hawt… Anyways check it out if you haven’t!

Monster Fest Rating: Wishmaster 2

Wishmaster continues.  This movie dealt with wishes, souls, and an evil monster known as the Djinn.  Unlike a traditional genie, he’s very much malevolent spirit who wants to bring his buddies into our dimension by using our deepest most desires to do so.

Yeah the first one was stellar and surely a 2nd one could stay the course? No…not entirely.

This one was ok at best from an annoying main character to a very long set up for the Djinn to actually start going all out and raising hell.  However when the Djinn did use his cruel magic, he left an impact.

There was even a scene where the Djinn used an inmate’s wish to make his lawyer screw himself.

Yeah so…don’t expect too much from that but the movie does pay off in the third act when the main character finally tricks him.

It just took a lot to get there…so it ends up with 3 bloody knuckles.
