Album Spotlight#3: Valkyrie by Maestro Eternal

If there’s one thing I enjoy about the music I find, it’s how they take me on an adventure. Usually feeling the vibes and energy that they put into every note or chord with a mixture of ballads and songs selling the essence of what makes them unique. The right album could also help inspire you to keep going when things are rough or the chips are down…Sometimes all we need is that extra drive to push ourselves especially when it just feels safe and comforting to stay neutral. However the comfort zone as we all know is a trap and it will keep you detained if you allow it.

While building J360 Jams, I managed to meet a wonderful musician whose background in music resonated so well with my passion of creating films. I found her by checking out her art via social media and listening to one of her tracks. We created a wonderful partnership as she allowed me to play her music on the J360 Jams lineup.

That artist is called Maestro Eternal, and she’s been an important part of my adventure thus far. Tonight we’ll be looking into her album “Valkyrie.” 10 Tracks and each one tells a story of someone rising against their pain and demons to become the hero they need in their lives. You can feel every emotion taking place from beginning to end and you find yourself in the same shoes as whoever the protagonist is in the story. As all creators know there are moments where you feel everything is caving in but you also have that moment where you ride through the storm and rise up to face the obstacles in your way.

Maestro Eternal doesn’t disappoint at all when she takes us on this trip. I felt an urge on one of my bad days to just hang up the production game but by listening to this album. I just knew I couldn’t walk away I had to keep going as my adventures are always going to be a test, and my journey is much different than anyone else’s. This album will inspire you to keep moving, feel the fear, understand the loss but grow and become more.

Valkyrie is one of the best albums I’ve ever experienced and I say thank you to Maestro Eternal for everything.

Album Title: Valkyrie (2020)

Release Date: October 31, 2020

Album Synopsis (Excerpt from Maestro Eternal herself):

This album is about my own life experiences and hardships I’ve had to face. Most of the times, we don’t choose the experience or the things that happen to us. At least when it comes to painful experiences. It’s what we do after those things that matter. Those things we do after hardships are what mold us.
The overall concept of the album is based on trauma and what your own mind and body do to get away from the these things. How in the end, no one’s coming to save you but yourself. It’s about all the different choices you face in life, especially when dealing with those hardships.

Do you choose to stay the same, floating in a limbo, replaying your own history? Do you choose to wear a mask and disguise yourself? Do you let yourself be consumed by your past mistakes, past traumas? Maybe ever forget who you are? Or will you rise above it, forgive yourself and move on? Will be come your own hero?

I’ve been through all of these phases of pain, trauma, vengeance, regret. And for 10 years, I didn’t create anything at all. I stagnated and let my past take over me. There wasn’t a day that went by that I didn’t think about some aspect of my past. It created a monster within myself and it consumed me to where I didn’t even recognize myself in the mirror anymore. Then, after 10 years, I woke up. I killed the monster inside me and became the Valkyrie that I needed in my own life.

Album Spotlight#2: Neon Dreams by Oceanside 85

While building J360 Productions, I’ve heard many great things across the airwaves from experimental to opera and untitled. From concept albums to wonderful EPs that tell stories beyond any that I can attempt to imagine. I don’t think of anything else because the music alone takes me on an adventure that I need. It isn’t often I find someone that can really bring that magic even as I was doing the Song Of The Day/Night feature on this website.

That is, until I heard a unique song called “Not like us” a collaboration between Driver86 and another artist who’s in the spotlight tonight. This particular album is called “Neon Dreams” and it was composed by a respected artist in the synthwave scene. Her name is Oceanside85, and she is a magnificent creator along with being one of the first performers on J360 Jams.

Like the title states, each track on this album is a dream come true from a variety of emotions and vibes. As a whole the album has a little bit of something to appeal to everyone from hope, dreams, and aspirations for the future we want to create. From beginning to end, you can just feel the adventure grow greater from each chord and note that Oceanside brings out. This album doesn’t just touch your heart, it enlightens your soul, and for those of us trying to get through whatever 2020 throws at us, we need it.

Neon Dreams is an album no one should sleep on, and I cannot wait to hear what Oceanside85 does next.

Song Of The Night: 08/22/18 Wildcard Wednesday

Hey J360 Legion

I’m giving you a taste of both Turbocharged Random picks for the J360 Song Of The Night for this entry.   Since you didn’t get a posting for Tuesday Night (Had to put some time in over at the 2nd job) but as per usual I make up the time lost.

The J360 Playlist stumbled onto some nifty new tracks that I’m sure will be pretty good for our evening activities tonight.  Matter a fact this is someone making his official debut on our grid tonight called Astrocade, and stepping  up is his song called “Twilight Delight.”

A strong gritty urban vibe with rhythm hooks that resonate well with the neon lights in the city nearby.   What an excellent sound eh?

Since this is his debut on our feature, we’re going to listen to another track from his library called “Battle Axe.”

Are you loving the sounds of Astrocade? If so, feel free to support his journey by following his soundcloud here.

It’s always fascinating to find new artists composing out there, and in J360 Productions it’s our duty to give them a chance at growing an audience.  We hope to find more of you out there that are putting in your efforts and building a following.  If you’re interested in doing so just send an email to [email protected] or forward your bandcamps or soundcloud pages to our twitter feed @J360productions.

Songs Of The Day: 04/06/17 Two for Thursday

Hey J360 Legion

Time to roll a few doubles, and get things back on track.  The J360 Playlist has found a couple of great songs (and excellent composers) to add some fire to your morning tasks because those jingles you hear at work just don’t cut it.  Since it’s almost grind time, let’s get this day started right!

A bit of Synth and motivation never harmed anyone especially from Robotron 1982, and Maya.  So we’re going to take a trip through examples of their discography right now.

Our first track is called “Arcade Vision” by Robotron 1982.

The title track from his EP of the same name released Last April.

I hope to hear more material from him as time goes on, and next up is a a new artist I’ve had the pleasure of stumbling upon when setting the playlist to random.

The 2nd track is called “Running to you” by Maya.

Maya also has an EP coming soon called Dangerously Hot.

Here’s the teaser for it, just to give you all an earful.

If you love the sounds from both musicians, feel free to check out more via their Soundcloud links below.

  1. Robotron 1982
  2. Maya

Amazing grooves from both artists today. I hope the music you heard is giving you the motivation you’ll need. The grind is never easy but the results we can pull from it can be a helpful experience. Make it all count by embracing, and learning from challenges to strengthen you.
