Song Of The Night: 01/13/17 Friday Night Darkness

Hey J360 Legion

Don your hockey masks, and get ready to go camping because it is Friday the 13th. In honor of the famed movie franchise we’re going to step into some Dark Synthwave. On this very day a young deformed child drowned in Crystal Lake due to the oversight of promiscuously ignorant counselors. Only to be avenged by the knife-wielding rage of his mother until she too was beheaded by a defensive counselor. Unfortunately Jason didn’t die that day and due to the death of his mother he decided to carry the hilt of a machete and continue on the legacy as both a deformed man (part 2-4) and an undead creature (Part 6 – current).

Despite the bloodshed, the story of the Voorhees is a tragic one at best because although both of them are monsters there was that devotion between them that drives both of their revenge plots and basically I don’t give a damn about the Victims involved.  I love these two monsters because it will show how far blood runs deep and should you cross them or their territory (Camp Crystal Lake), yours will hit the soil if you don’t run or do something smart to defend yourself… So let’s look into the playlist to see what horror elements the composers have brought to light.

The First Track is called “Murder Club” by DreamReaper.

The 2nd Track is called “When Darkness is Shining” by Darkshine

The 3rd Track is called “Searching for an exit” by Dark Circuitry

If you love the sounds presented in this article tonight, feel free to check out each composer’s Soundcloud provided in the links below.

Dark Circuitry

Each composer has their own unique style in presenting the horror atmosphere don’t they? So we’ll just have to watch out for every corner surrounding us tonight to be wary of the creeps nearby eh?  Keep living it up J360 Legion and always be pushing yourselves to do more when it comes to creating and composing.  So you can be just like the ones featured in this article and if you are doing a Friday the 13th Marathon tonight, make sure you lock the doors, it won’t help you in the long run against Jason but at least you a few seconds of life to live as you’re running for dear life (and that won’t save you either).

Nope, you’re not dreaming J360 Legion.

The final Resident Evil movie (until it makes money) trailer has landed. Now while I haven’t been a big fan of these films except for the first two, it will be good for fans to see this series go off in style.

I really don’t believe this is the final chapter because of the obvious track record regarding films that carry this subtitle (i.e Friday the 13 pt.4 and Freddy’s Dead). Marketing ploy or not, I’ll be waiting for this one on home release. I’m more psyched for the Assassin’s Creed film.

If you are a fan however the film will be released on Jan 27, 2017.

In honor of these new video game movies. I will be continuing the Video Game Double Feature articles I’ve written earlier from the old J360 Days. I do need to play the Resident Evil games again for old times sake but enough on me.

How do you all feel about this film?

Excited or no? feel free to discuss in the comments below or via our twitter:@j360productions.

Watch “‘The Mummy’ Official Trailer (2017)

It has finally landed, come take a look at the Official Trailer for the Mummy coming next year. I still have optimism around this film perhaps Universal knows what they’re doing with this entry in their monsters-verse. I can’t wait to see more of the mayhem this Evil Princess will unleash. Now it does tend to have more action adventure than horror in this trailer but maybe the true film will mix horror elements of the old ones, and the thrill ride aspects of the 90s ones.

Anyways I’m going to see what it’s all about next year but what do you all think?

The Mummy (2017) Teaser

Hey J360 Legion

The teaser for the new Mummy movie is here (or has been here, and we’re just now sharing it heh…).

Check it out if you haven’t seen it already, this is to be Universal Studios 2nd attempt at bringing the Universal Monsters back into the modern age (Remember Dracula Untold?).

Tom Cruise, a Female Mummy, and a creepy atmosphere?

I’m intrigued to see what’s going to happen, and the trailer lands on Sunday so I’ll be sure to throw a post up for it.  I know we’re starting to be surrounded by shared universes from out of nowhere but hey let Universal get another shot at it.  Dracula Untold had cool effects but much like how DC comics did with Green Lantern, it doesn’t count anymore so here’s hoping it all works out.

What do you all think of the teaser so far? Are you excited to see what happens next or not?

Discuss it on the bottom or send a response to twitter: @j360productions #Mummy #Teaser

The J360 Monster Fest: Now Showing 10/30/16

Hey J360 Legion

As you all know our J360 Monster Fest is continuing throughout all of November and bringing things up to speed is a horror anthology series called Tales from the Darkside.

I’m halfway through the first season so far and I have to say while some eps were a bit hokey, this set is definitely worth the $30 dollar price tag for all 96 episodes. Far as the content goes the episodes hold up well as the picture and sounds are clear, and the creep factor is still strong to this day.

The J360 Monster Fest Now Showing.jpg

So I’m going to be scaring the hell out of myself for awhile as I partake at least the first two seasons of this set while watching more monster movies in between. I actually have a wall of shame for horror movies just like the one for the PowerPlay.  So it’s all about enjoying the films I do have and doing a bit of case studying as I am working on three new short films for J360 Productions.

The adventure continues Ladies and Gentlemen, and until next time have an awesome night.

The J360 Monster Fest: Now Showing 10/05/16

Now showing J360 Monster Fest - JBrady.jpg

Time to step into the Monster Fest Legion, I’m going to watch four obscured horror films from the 50s, and 60s even a rare Hammer horror featuring Christopher Lee called “The Terror of the Tongs”and Vincent Price in “The Mad Magician.” I stumbled upon this collection as I wandered around the local store last night searching for some Godzilla flicks. Each titles seemed to tell a unique story that I was looking for to present in the Fest this year, so I’m intrigued in seeing what each feature offers in terms of suspense and creepiness.  I will look at each movie via the order represented on the art above.

Here are the synopsis of every film in the collection, along with trailers shared courtesy of respected youtube channels.

1) Five (1951):  The Earth is destroyed by a Nuclear Holocaust. The only survivors are a pregnant woman, a philosopher, a black man, a banker, and an explorer living in an abandoned home. In order to survive they must work together but opposition regarding their views for the future may destroy them.

2) The Mad Magician (1954): Gallico the Great a, magician and master of disguise turns into a homidicial maniac when his manager closes his show and gives his trick to a rival.   With his illusion disrupting abilities at his disposal, Gallico begins to unleash his wrath by taking out his victims one by one.

3) The Man Who Turned to Stone (1957): Someone is committing murders inside of a woman’s prison, and a new psychiatrist is uncovering the mystery to find that it’s all connected to a centuries old evil ritual for immortal life.

4) The Terror of the Tongs (1961): A British sea captain seeks revenge against the Red Dragon Tong, a gang of Hong Kong drug and slave traders for killing his daughter, with a former slave by his side they begin to incite a riot to destroy the group however there’s something vicious about this Secret Society and it’s more powerful than he thinks.

Cults, Revenge, and Xenophobia? Oh my!

This is a brilliant four for all package, and I’ll share some clips via the social media, and a review about each installment this Friday.

Introducing The J360 Monster Fest!

The J360 Monster Fest -JBrady

Hello J360 Legion!

Welcome to the first start of the J360 Monster Fest, a feature where we take a look into different monster movies, scary stories, and urban legends.   We will begin by looking into the monsters from the legendary Universal Studios canon and discuss every film in the each collection.  Except for multi-verse films when all of the monsters meet up because we have a special presentation for them.  We’re also doing this because since shared cinematic universes are a profitable trend now.  Universal Studios is deciding to do the same thing with their monsters for a modern audience, and arguably they may have started the trend years ago with House of Dracula and House of Frankenstein.

This is open to all members of the team, and even you J360 fans can join in on the fun by presenting some information on some Horror movies,TV Shows, and Comics you would like to discuss. It can be horror, science fiction, print or broadcast media, you name it and plus we’re not going to stop working on this on the 31st, this is going from now through November!

Unleash all of the Ghosts and Ghouls at your disposal, J360 Legion because it’s time to celebrate the darkness inside!

If you have any suggestions or movie topics you’d want to discuss let us know via the comments and/or post to the Twitter: @j360productions.

Let’s start it off by looking at the legendary Michael Jackson classic, Thriller!
